In the Draft follows the rhythm of group rides, the friendships built mile by mile, and the complicated relationship between cyclists, drivers, neighborhoods, and public space. At the center of the film is cyclist John Sinibaldi, whose experience opens the door to a much larger story.

Set in Florida, the film looks closely at the people who show up for each other before sunrise, after work, and on long weekend routes. Through John and the community around him, their rides become a way to talk about trust, safety, identity, and what it means to belong in a city that is still learning how to make room.
